What are "cookies"?

When a visitor accesses the website at https://pannonquality.hu, a small file known as a "cookie" (hereinafter: "cookie") is placed on their computer, which may serve a number of different purposes.

Some of the cookies we use are essential for the website to function properly ("session cookies"), while others collect information about how the website is used ("statistical cookies"), so as to make the site even more convenient and useful. Some cookies are only temporary and disappear once the browser is closed, while others are persistent and remain on your computer for a longer period of time.

The legal basis for the cookies required for the operation of the website is the Controller's legitimate interest, for which the Controller has carried out a balancing-of-interests test.

The purpose of cookies
  • To make using the website easier by recording the visitor's settings and usage habits, thereby facilitating navigation on the site,
  • to improve the user experience by gathering information on how the visitor uses the website and which sub-pages they visit or use most often. This helps us understand how to provide an even better user experience the next time they visit our site,
  • to collect statistics whose analysis helps us understand how visitors use, alongside the website, the other online services we offer, so that we can further develop them,
  • to further develop the website and make it more transparent in line with visitors' needs,
  • where applicable, to place targeted advertisements, so that we can display the offers most relevant to the visitor.

With the exception of cookies that are strictly necessary for the operation of the website (which do not collect information qualifying as personal data), the use of cookies is based on your consent, given after being provided with clear and adequate information; this constitutes the legal basis for the related data processing. Further information on Google Analytics cookies

Since our website makes extensive use of Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"), we consider it necessary to share further information about it.

Google Analytics uses "cookies", i.e. text files saved on your computer, which enable analysis of how the website is used. The information generated by the cookies regarding your use of the website is generally transmitted to and stored on Google's servers in the USA. However, where IP address anonymisation is activated on the website, Google will shorten your IP address beforehand within a Member State of the European Union or another state party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, before it is transferred to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google uses this information on behalf of the operator of the website for the purpose of evaluating website usage, compiling reports on website activity, and providing the website operator with further services relating to the use of the website and the internet. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with any other data held by Google.

By adjusting your browser software settings accordingly, you can prevent cookies from being saved to your device. Please note, however, that in this case you may not be able to make full use of all the functions of the website.

In addition, you have the option of preventing the data generated by cookies relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) from being recorded and transmitted to Google, and of preventing Google from processing such data, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data via Google's own website.
This activates an "opt-out" cookie, which will thereafter prevent your data from being collected when you visit the website. For further information on the terms of use and on the handling of personal data, please visit one of the following websites:

Checking and disabling "cookie settings"

Modern browsers allow you to modify your "cookie settings". Some browsers accept "cookies" automatically by default, but this setting can also be changed to prevent automatic acceptance going forward. Once changed, the browser will subsequently offer you the choice of "cookie settings" every time.

Even where "cookies" are enabled, the Controller does not store any identifiers or passwords. Visitors can use our services in complete safety even if they accept "cookies".

Please note that since the purpose of "cookies" is to support and facilitate the usability and processes of the website, if cookies are disabled we cannot guarantee that the visitor will be able to make full use of all functions of the website. In this case the website may not function in the browser as intended.
