He graduated in 1992 from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Budapest University of Technology, specialising in Production Systems. He obtained his second degree in Business Economics from the Budapest University of Economic Sciences in 1996. In 1989, he spent six months in Oakland, California, in the USA, deepening his knowledge of English.

From 1992, he worked as a quality management engineer in the Purchasing Department of Philips Video Hungary, where he was able to make use of his fluent business German.

In 1993, he received his first assignment to develop a quality assurance system in accordance with the ISO 9001 standard. From 1995, he took part in preparing World Bank and Phare grant applications for the automotive industry, and as a result went on to lead a number of automotive quality-improvement projects. He was actively involved in organising the IIASA Shiba Quality Award ceremonies founded by Japanese professor Shoji Shiba, became familiar with Japanese quality-improvement techniques, kaizen methods and the Toyota Production System (TPS), and, as a qualified trainer, went on to teach them himself.

In 1997, he founded Pannon-Quality Menedzsment Tanácsadó Kft. and went on to lead numerous projects, gaining teaching, lecturing and consulting experience in the following fields: organisational development; the application of quality and environmental management, energy management, lean-kaizen management and Six Sigma methods (5S, SMED, TPM); the implementation of excellence systems based on the EFQM model; and preparation for excellence awards (Committed to Excellence – C2E, Recognised for Excellence – R4E, ExcellenCert excellence certification, the Hungarian National Quality Award, and the Shiba Award). At several hundred organisations, he has led projects in quality and environmental management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001), information security (ISO/IEC 27001 and related legal compliance requirements), ISO 45001, ISO 50001, IATF 16949, Balanced Scorecard (BSC) development, performance evaluation systems, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Measurement System Analysis (MSA, R&R), and the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).

He is a qualified Energy Auditor and Energy Management Auditor (ISO 50001), certified by the Hungarian Chamber of Engineers, and an expert accredited by the Ministry of Education under the Comenius 2000 Public Education Quality Development Programme. He is a qualified trainer and auditor of quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety management systems, and has advanced expertise in, and teaches, statistical techniques. He served as Vice-President of the Association of Environmental Management System Consultants and Certifiers. Since 2008, he has been running 5-day Certified Lean Kaizen Manager training courses, as well as regular 1–2 day LEAN training sessions.

He is also a trainer accredited by the TÜV Rheinland Academy, the Győr-Moson-Sopron County Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Fejér County Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Euzert Kft.

In 2019, he successfully completed the EFQM Licensed Trainer training, thereby becoming qualified to deliver all three of the EFQM Model's licensed management training courses as a trainer: Shaping Your Excellence Journey, Leading Your Excellence Journey, and Internal Assessment Training. Since 2020, he has been an internationally registered trainer for EFQM Foundation Training.

In his free time, he enjoys hiking and sport; during his university years he was a rugby player who also played for the national team. Nowadays he mainly spends his time with his family and children, and enjoys road cycling.
