Grant and Tender Consulting

Related to preparing and following up on grant applications
Related to EU funding and programme management

For your planned developments and investments, we provide professional assistance from project preparation, through sourcing funding and preparing the application, to the effective use and proper accounting (monitoring) of the awarded grant. Our experienced grant-writing colleague helps clients secure domestic and international — primarily EU — funding available through calls for proposals. With up-to-date knowledge of current funding opportunities, developments can be implemented more efficiently, in sync with available grant schemes. On request, we can also assist with co-financing (loans, or a leasing option that can be combined with a grant).

Our main areas of consulting:

  • EU funding and programme management
  • Sectoral ministry grants (environmental protection, research & development, job creation, etc.)

Our grant consulting, application preparation and follow-up process:

1. Informing the client who wishes to apply
Our head of grants or grant consultant informs the client wishing to apply — by email, fax or in person — about the available funding opportunities, the conditions of the call, and the submission deadline, based on the application guidelines.

2. Requesting information from the client
Our grant consultant requests, by email, fax or in person, using an Information Request form, the data needed to prepare the application material, and asks the client to obtain the documents to be attached as annexes (e.g. company registry extract, specimen signature, annual financial statements).

3. Preparing the application
We complete the application form based on the data provided by the client, in accordance with the application guidelines. We compile the annexes to the application material using the documents and information received from the client, as required by the guidelines.

4. Handing over the completed application to the client
We hand over the completed form to the client, who reviews it and either approves it or requests changes or corrections. After correction or approval — following a prior appointment — we collect the completed application material for signature, or the client visits our office.

5. Submitting the application
We reproduce the completed and signed application in the required number of copies, spiral-bind it, and save the form onto electronic media as required. In addition to the required number of copies, we also make a copy for the client and for our own records.

6. Follow-up support
At the client's request, we assist with further tasks related to the successful application — for example, the grant agreement, contract amendment requests, compiling the documents needed to disburse the funding, and monitoring/data-reporting obligations.

About grants in general

In the European Union's 2021–2027 budget cycle, Hungary has access to roughly EUR 22 billion in cohesion funding under the Széchenyi Plan Plus programme package. Funding is available through eight operational programmes — among these, the Economic Development and Innovation Operational Programme Plus (GINOP Plusz), the Territorial and Settlement Development Operational Programme Plus (TOP Plusz), which supports local economic development and municipal investment, and the Environmental and Energy Efficiency Operational Programme Plus (KEHOP Plusz), which finances environmental protection and energy-efficiency developments, are most often relevant to business development. Our colleagues continuously monitor current calls for proposals so that our clients can submit their applications on time, from the source best suited to them.
